As part of the Bourges 2028 programme, this series of 10 meetings, created with Rose Lamy and running through to 2028, brings together different voices to explore the major issues of our time through stories, personal experiences and territories.
For this third edition, Rose Lamy welcomes journalist and author Nora Hamadi for a conversation about the territories that shape our lives, our stories and our imaginations.
How do the places we live in shape our stories and our life paths? What place is there for dreams in working-class neighbourhoods, suburbs and rural areas? How are these places portrayed – and by whom?
Drawing on their autobiographical books, La Maison des rêves and Ascendant Beauf, Nora Hamadi and Rose Lamy will share their experiences, from Longjumeau to Bourges, and explore their perspectives on territories that are often reduced to stereotypes, yet are rich in stories, memories and aspirations.
Nora Hamadi is a journalist and author of La Maison des rêves. Her work explores the links between territories, family legacies and individual life paths.
Rose Lamy is the author of Ascendant Beauf and founder of the feminist account Préparez-vous pour la bagarre. Through her work, she examines representations of working-class communities and social inequalities.
The conversation will be moderated by Le Berry Républicain.
