It feels like yesterday: on 13 December 2023, Bourges was named European Capital of Culture 2028.
A moment frozen in time. A city in celebration. A shared emotion that resonated across the Centre-Val de Loire.

And guess what?
This 13 December, we’re doing it again—this time to celebrate two years!

Because yes, already two years.
Two years of projects coming to life, inspiring encounters, ideas emerging and spreading across the region.
Two years of artists, residents, volunteers and supporters reinventing the city alongside us.
And because a birthday never comes alone…

We’ll also be announcing the CR! award winners—dozens of CR!EATORS ready to bring the European Capital of Culture to life in the months ahead.
The rest? Suspense.
We’re keeping a few surprises under wraps… but one thing is certain: get ready for an evening, Bourges 2028 style.
