CR! 2025: 93 laureates to bring creation to life from the territories

For this first edition, 93 laureates — 61 co-financed projects and 32 labelled projects — are now joining the Bourges European Capital of Culture 2028 adventure. They come from 48 municipalities across all six departments of the Centre-Val de Loire region, as well as from the Matrice network of cities. This geographic, artistic and human diversity reflects the scale and vitality of the initiative.

Another major highlight: the CR! Academy.
More than 400 CR! participants have benefited from 40 to 50 hours of workshops and mentoring, helping them to structure, refine and grow their projects. A long and demanding process that goes beyond simple funding, already preparing the legacy of 2028 by sustainably strengthening the expertise of cultural actors in the territory.

The winning projects reflect this richness: visual arts, performing arts, music, heritage, cinema, digital art, literature, crafts, street arts… as many forms and themes — inclusion, biodiversity, youth, democracy, climate, food — at the crossroads of artistic, social and territorial challenges.

With CR!, Bourges 2028 asserts a clear ambition: to make local actors driving forces, fully integrated into the artistic programming, and to embed the European Capital of Culture within a sustainable, territorial and decidedly European dynamic.

The 93 laureates of CR! 2025 are now in motion. And this is just the beginning.
