The Regional Youth Council is recruiting – make your voice heard!

They represent 17% of the region’s population – and yet few decision-making bodies truly listen to young people. The Région Centre-Val de Loire has therefore chosen to hand the microphone back to 15-29-year-olds.
Through the Regional Youth Council, 77 young people from diverse backgrounds – divided into three groups: secondary school pupils, students and apprentices, and young professionals or entrepreneurs – are selected by lot to serve a one-year voluntary term, renewable once.

A human and civic journey

Several Saturdays each year, they meet in Orléans to better understand how their region operates, develop their critical thinking skills, and build inspiring connections across the territory – together.
Do you live far away? No worries: the Région Centre-Val de Loire covers all expenses to ensure that no one is left out.

In a friendly and supportive atmosphere, the young participants work in small groups on issues that directly affect them: finding a job, accessing training, getting around, protecting the environment, and accessing culture or sport.
Together, they imagine concrete solutions to improve everyday life for young people across the region.

More than tangible results!

Since its creation, the Regional Youth Council has made its voice heard with more than 50 concrete proposals submitted to elected officials.
Young members have also developed tools that make a real difference, such as the #AmourSansViolence campaign to raise awareness about toxic relationships, and Cyber Repère, designed to help identify and prevent online harassment.

Now it’s your turn!

Are you between 15 and 29 years old? Do you live, study or work in the Centre-Val de Loire? This adventure is waiting for you!
Whatever your background, experience or interests, there’s a place for you. Because a thriving region is one where every voice counts.

Applications are open until 7 September 2025!
