Bourges 2028 in the European Capital of Culture 2022

The French delegation will also discover various spaces and exhibitions related to the Esch2022 programme, including the rehabilitated former steel district of Belval, the cultural hub of Micheville, called l’Arche, and the Möllerei & Masse Noire exhibitions in Esch-Belval. Various meetings are planned with Luxembourg artists.

After having gathered many cities of the territory and of the country around his candidacy, Bourges 2028 wished to start a movement of accession of the european cities in going out to meet them. To initiate this process, a delegation of Bourges 2028 composed of team members and elected officials moved in one of the three current european Capitals of Culture, Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg.

This visit, which was held just after the official opening ceremony, presented a lot of interest for the application of Bourges Expensive Centre-Val de Loire to the title of european Capital of Culture 2028. A meeting between the teams counterparts in the French and luxembourg took place on 3 march. The mayor eschois, Georges Micho as well as the director of the city’s business & program director Esch2022, Ralph Waltmans, have received the teams of Bourges 2028. During these times of exchanges trainers for the collective berruyer company, was presented the famous idb book of the candidature of the city of luxembourg as a european Capital of Culture in the programming 2022.

This shift, which has been the subject of a direct and a story on the channel France 3 Centre-Val de Loire, has finally had the goal is the implementation of projects artistic partnership between the two european cities.
